Abstract:
Solutions of the new kinetic quantum mechanical equation for excited states of the damped oscillator are obtained in an explicit form. The difference between the coordinate probability distributions determining states in the new formulation of quantum mechanics is analyzed for the damped oscillator within the Caldirola-Kanai model with Hamiltonian and in terms of the kinetic equation with a collision term.
