Abstract:
The problem of the absence of sensitivity of the upper critical magnetic field Hc2 to scattering and variation of the electronic-structure parameters of the NdCeCuO high-temperature superconductor was considered on the basis of studying the temperature dependence of this field in the vicinity of the critical temperature Tc. The contribution of scattering to the variation in Hc2 as a result of ion irradiation is shown to be insignificant. The fact that the slope -dHc2/dT is invariant may be explained in terms of the microscopic theory by the compensating variation in the electronic-structure parameters.
