Title: PHOTOGENERATION OF DONOR PAIRS IN CdS(Cu) SINGLE CRYSTALS
Authors: Y.N. Emirov, M.A. Rizakhanov, E.M. Zobov. Abstract: Photostimulated transformations of defect structure in CdS(Cu) single crystals were studied;
interstitial ?ui donors, which can be involved in ionization-enhanced diffusion over interstices and can
associate with each other, are inherent in these crystals. The above transformations are accompanied
with the appearance of new lines and bands (a quasi-line subspectrum) in the spectrum of induced extrinsic
photoconductivity; this subspectrum is located in the range hν = 0.35 - 0.58 eV and is adjacent
to the band peaked at hνmax = 0.33eV and is related to the individual Cu01 atoms.
The energy positions and the distribution of relative intensities of the bands in the quasi-line induced
extrinsic photoconductivity spectrum are explained in terms of a model of donor pairs (Cu01)2 with various
interatomic distances.
