REGULAR TETRAHEDRAL STRUCTURES DUE TO CONDENSATION OF A NONCRYSTALLOGRAPHIC T27 CLUSTER.

Abstract:
Regular tetrahedral structures can be obtained by the "system of systems" principle using a noncrystallographic cluster of 27 atoms (T-cluster) as an elementary "brick". A T-cluster is formed in the construction of three first coordination spheres around a central atom with the binary parameter Θ ≈ 38? preserved at each bond. A three-colored second coordination sphere - icosahedron - was used to construct closed cycles of T-clusters with tetrahedral angles between their centers and different binary torsion parameters Θ ≈ 0? and Θ ≈ 60?. As a result, we obtained a tetrahedral analogue of the Mobius band, as well as a planar pentagonal cycle and the "armchair" and "bath" configurations of T-clusters analogous to the same well-known configurations of atoms.
