Title: NONUNIFORM ELECTRON DENSITY DISTRIBUTION AND FERMI SURFACE IN OXIDE HTSC Authors: N.V. Anshukova, A.I. Golovashkin, L.I. Ivanova, A.P. Rusakov. Abstract: The nonuniform electron density distribution in oxide HTSC systems is shown to be due to superstructural charge and antiferro-magnetic orderings in the CuO2 plane. The effect of doping on the shape of the Fermi surface is considered. Relation between the superstructural ordering and the occurrence of charge distribution in the form of stripes is established. Such a distribution is shown to be caused by Peierls instability of the lattice and by the appearance of a dielectric Peierls gap Δ* (the so-called "pseudogap").
