Abstract:
A physical model is proposed for acute leukemia in vivo. The model describes the leukemia dynamics as an increase in the differentiation cycle energy of those types of blood cells (blasts), whose cycle energy normally comprises only fractions of a percent of the lymphocyte and segmented neutrophil cycle energy. The model is formulated in terms of coupled Van der Pol equations with a time lag. The model solutions are in good agreement with experimental clinical data.
