Abstract:
The evolution of a compressed state (related to the so-called Gaussian squeezed state) excited in a nondegenerate parametric generator is studied. The time dependence of the matrix determining the amplitude and phase distributions in the wave packet of the state under investigation is found in the framework of perturbation theory. The results obtained make it possible to calculate the average dispersion of the actually excited compressed state.
