SIMULATION OF THE CONCENTRATION OSCILLATIONS OF VARIOUS BLOOD CELLS IN HEALTHY DONORS AND ACUTE-LEUKEMIA PATIENTS UNDER IN VITRO CONDITIONS. 1. SIMULATION BY COUPLED VAN DER POL EQUATIONS WITH TIME LAG AND THE RELATION BETWEEN THE PARAMETERS OF CELL CONCENTRATION OSCILLATIONS AND DNA MOLECULE OSCILLATIONS
Authors:
A.A. Berezin.

Abstract:
The concentration oscillations of (1) the polymorphonuclear neu-trophils and lymphocytes in donor blood and (2) the lymphocytes and leukemic (tumor) cells in the blood of acute-leukemia patients have been studied in vitro. On the basis of experimental data, a physicomathematical model for the dynamics of in vitro blood cell concentration oscillations was developed. The relation of the oscillation parameters for cells of the types mentioned with the oscillations of a DNA molecule manifested itself in a parametric effect of the DNA molecule oscillations on the time lag in the Van der Pol equations describing the concentration oscillations of (1) the polymorphonuclear neutrophils and lymphocytes in in vitro donor blood and (2) the lymphocytes and leukemic (tumor) cells in in vitro leukemic blood. The results of the simulation are in good agreement with the experimental data.
