THE EFFECT OF DARK MATTER HALO ON THE GROWTH OF A SUPERMASSIVE BLACK HOLE IN THE CENTER OF A GALAXY
Authors:
E.A. Vasil`ev, M.I. Zel`nikov.

Abstract:
The effect of dark matter on the growth of supermassive black holes in the galactic centers (the Milky Way, first of all) is studied. It is shown that the gravitational scattering of dark matter particles by stars of the galactic nucleus (bulge) leads to dark matter diffusion in the phase space {m, mz, I}. The corresponding diffusion equation for the distribution function is derived and its coefficients are calculated for different bulge models. It is shown that the predominant effect is the angular momentum diffusion which induces a considerable particle flux into the black hole. The law of black hole growth Mbh~ t916 due to dark matter absorption is established and is shown to provide explanation of the observed black hole masses. We consider the corrections due to the region of gravitational effect of a black hole and to the dark matter diffusion along the adiabatic invariant I axis and conclude that in the majority of cases they have almost no effect on the law of growth.
