Abstract:
The problem of the screening of charge accumulated by a spher?ical dust particle in a two-temperature plasma is considered by numerical simulation by the method of particles. The effect of bound ions on the screening characteristics and on the dust parti?cle friction force in the presence of ion flow is studied. Comparison with different theoretical models is made and the limits of their applicability are established. It is shown that bound ions around a dust particle cause a radical decrease of the friction force in the ion flow because their distribution is determined by the temper?ature of a cold buffer gas.
