Abstract:
The variety of Earth atmospheric relations affected directly or indirectly by galactic cosmic rays is presented. The direct effect is the excitation, dissociation, and ionization of air molecules (atoms) and the formation of isotopes in the atmosphere. The indirect influence, through ionization, is exerted on thunderclouds and via them on the formation of the electric charge of the Earth, on weather and climate, on the angular velocity of diurnal rotation and seismicity of the Earth, on volcanic eruption recurrence and biological processes. The results of observations confirming this influence are presented.
