Abstract:
Proceeding from the free energy density of elastic continuum, which allows for the point defect (PD) generation and the flexoelectric effect, we derived a closed system of equations describing the propagation of self-consistent fields of elastic displacements, the concentration of PD, and the electric polarization in centrosymmetrical crystals. The dispersion relations of coupled linear waves of elastic displacements, TD concentration, and polarization are derived in the linear approximation. The dispersion equation has three roots: one characterizing the diffusion mode with diffusion coefficient renormalized at the expense of the deformation interaction and the flexoelectric effect and the other two describing the dispersion of elastic waves propagating in opposite directions.
