Abstract:
The process of the low-temperature adsorption of nuclear-spin hydrogen and deuterium modifications is studied. The coefficients of the single-stage separation for two novel high-efficient LiX and NaY inorganic zeolite adsorbents are measured. The use of these adsorbents makes it possible to realize the adsorption separation of the ortho- and para-modifications of H2 and D2 at liquid-nitrogen temperatures (T = 77 − 50 K) rather than liquid-hydrogen temperatures (20 K). The novel LiX adsorbent was experimentally tested in obtaining parahydrogen in the framework of the ?Ortho- and parawater? EU project.
