Title: PLANAR LOW-CONTRAST BRAGG WAVEGUIDE
WITH PERIODICALLY ARRANGED DELTA-FUNCTION WALLS Authors: R.M. Feshchenko, A.V. Vinogradov. Abstract: An analytical theory of planar low-contrast Bragg optical waveguides, based on representation of thin diffuse layers by delta functions, was developed. A dispersion relation for an optical waveguide with a small number of layers was derived. Losses were numerically calculated for an optical waveguide with parameters close to those of actual fiber, known from the literature. The presented model is more realistic than the model with sharp layer interfaces.
