Abstract:
The microfield distribution function in clusters was studied by simulation using the molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo methods. The results obtained were compared with microfield distributions in infinite plasma. It was shown that the calculated distributions have the same asymptotics. However, the position of the maximum and the existence of additional extrema depend on the cluster type and size. The dependence of the microfield expectation and variance on the number of cluster particles was also studied.
