Title: SELF-CONSISTENT SOLUTIONS OF GINZBURG-LANDAU EQUATIONS AND SUPERCONDUCTING EDGE-SUPPRESSED STATES IN MAGNETIC FIELD Authors: G.F. Zharkov, V.G. Zharkov, Abstract: Using numerical methods, we studied at lengths self-consistent solutions of the Ginzburg-Landau system of nonlinear equations which describe the behavior of the order parameter υ and the magnetic field ? in a long superconducting cylinder of radius R in an external magnetic field H when a vortex line carrying m flux quanta is located on the cylinder axis. The specific "edge-suppressed" states (which can appear in a type-II superconductor if the field H increases) are studied. During the transition to such a state the modulus of the order parameter υ diminishes by a jump (almost to zero) near the cylinder surface; however, superconductivity remains in the depth of the cylinder, at a distance from the cylinder axis. The possibility of observing the edge-suppressed states is briefly discussed.
