Title: EXCHANGE INTERACTION AND A COMPLETE MAGNETIZATION
OF THE MULTISPIN NANOCLUSTER Mn4 Authors: A.K. Zvezdin. Abstract: A complete magnetization process of the magnetic nanocluster Mn4, including all its actual multiplets S = 9/2, 11/2, 13/2, 15/2, is theoretically investigated and formulas are obtained to determinate the exchange constants of the cluster Mn4 from the corresponding experimental data. It is shown that the quantum jumps of magnetization of this nanocluster lie in the region of megagauss fields. A remarkable feature of the nanocluster Mn4, which distinguishes it among other multispin molecules, is that its exchange Heisenberg spin-Hamiltonian admits exact diagonalization. The latter fact provides reliable grounds for comparison of the theory with experiment and is important for the development of new experimental methods for the study of high-spin molecules.
