Abstract:
Multiparticle dynamics simulations were performed for Coulomb particles in the case when positively charged heavy particles are multiply charged ions. Two relaxation stages were shown to take place in this case (like for a plasma with particle charges equal in modulus). A fast, dynamic relaxation arises from the mixing of phase trajectories of the particle set on a portion of the energy surface in the phase space. A slow, kinetic stage is caused by the loss of time symmetry of the numerical solution.
