Abstract:
The upper critical magnetic field Hc2 of MgB2 epitaxial films with a residual specific resistance of 5 ? 25μΩ cm was shown to far exceed the critical field of the pure limit. From the variation of Hc2 in samples with different structure imperfections it was possible to obtain estimates of electronic state densities at the Fermi level and of the Fermi velocity of MgB2- These parameters were compared with the parameters of the superconducting compounds NbC and Nb3Sn.
